The Laura and John Arnold Foundation has announced $20 million in support for a multi-year research effort on gun-related violence. The support will help launch a National Collaborative on Gun Violence Research, which will be overseen by the nonpartisan RAND Corporation. During the next five years, the collaborative will use data to explore causes and patterns of gun violence in the United States and help policymakers develop evidence-based policies to reduce gun violence.
