Craig Alexander

Chief Financial and Administrative Officer

Craig joined the Foundation in 2019 as its Chief Financial and Administrative Officer, with oversight responsibility for all financial and administrative operations. He supervises human resources, grants management, investments, information technology, and facilities management, including the space rental program.  

Prior to joining the Foundation, Craig served as Director of Legal Resources at the National Association of College and University Attorneys. Craig also served as the Vice President and General Counsel of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, one of the nation’s largest philanthropies. Earlier in his career, Craig practiced law with a national law firm and was an accountant with the predecessor to KPMG.  

Craig is an attorney and a Certified Public Accountant. Craig received his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center and his B.S. from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana.
