Sharifa joined Public Welfare Foundation in 2023 as a seasoned Executive assistant with more than 10 years of administrative experience. Previously she worked at the Voting Rights Lab, a nonpartisan organization that accelerates the movement of free and fair elections and tracks election-related legislation and current law across the nation.
Sharifa began her administrative career as a secretary at one of the first professional orthopedic and physical therapy offices in Greenvale, NY. After working for several years, she pursued a culinary certificate and became a Sous Chef at the DeSeverky Mansion, as well as a private chef. Years later, Sharifa decided to transition back into the world of administration.
Sharifa received a certificate from the Harvard Kennedy School in 2022 for Leadership, Organizing and Action and is currently obtaining a Cyber Security & Programming degree.
